Tulip of my dreams

I dream of tulips every now and again.
Petals so soft and fragile,
I can't help but wreck it's beauty.
Or maybe it is it that is wrecking me.
I cannot phantom it,
My fingers touching the stem,
It dies slowly.
At least it has the same affect on me.
Such irony.
